Taboon
ReviewIngredients
Taboon is traditional flatbread popular in Jordan and the Near East. It is a pillar of Levantine cuisine, and is baked on hot stones in a terracotta oven. This bread is very popular, and can be found on every family table. It's served as an accompaniment to small dishes (meze) or as a main ingredient when it often serves as a base for musakhan, the traditional flagship dish of Palestinian cuisine. The word taboon refers to both the bread and the oven in which it is baked.
