Micronesia

Micronesia is made up of 2,100 tropical islands scattered across the middle of the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the Philippines. The most important dish is rice, along with fish and other seafood, including fresh shellfish, crabs, and shrimps. Sauces and spices are also often used. Many Micronesian meat and vegetable dishes contain coconut and coconut milk. Also, coconuts are used in creating desserts like bibingka (rice pudding) and macapuno (thick dessert jam).
