Latvian Eats: Soups, Stews and Porridge is the first book in a series of cookbooks that explore basics of Latvian cooking. What started as a food blog in 2014 by a homesick Latvian, now living in Australia, book explores simple food that anyone can cook and eat. It is not just a compilation of traditional cuisine, it is also about dishes that Latvians have adopted and developed over years and still enjoy every day. The book contains old, truly traditional porridge recipes like koča and bukstiņbiezputra, goes through seasons with wide variety of soups, and ventures past the borders and back to Latvian countryside to include warming stews for winter.
